Chocolate covered pretzels are so easy to make, I feel guilty even calling this a ‘recipe.’ Have you ever met anyone who doesn’t enjoy chocolate covered pretzels? Even the rare breed of humans who don’t have a crazy sweet tooth like me enjoy the salty and sweet combination of chocolate covered pretzels.
These are the perfect treat for your Valentine’s Day sweethearts, or if your participating in a Gal-entine’s Day, your BFFs won’t stop thanking you for these adorable chocolate covered pretzels. The recipe is kind of ‘make it up as you go,’ the amount of chocolate chips/sprinkles you need are going to depend on how many pretzel rods you want to make!
These are so fun to make and incredibly easy to customize with different sprinkles and toppings. They’ll be your new go-to for every holiday and birthday from now on!
-Semi-sweet chocolate chips
-White-chocolate chips (optional)
-Toppings: sprinkles, nuts, mini-chocolate chips, etc.
-Supplies: Mug, cutting board, wax paper
1. Layout the sprinkles you will be using on a flat surface. I use a cutting board.
2. Melt chocolate chips in the microwave, in 20 second intervals, stirring in between each one. Be very careful not to burn the chocolate! I melt my chocolate in a coffee mug, which makes it easier for step
3. Dip the ends of your pretzels in the chocolate, turning the pretzel rod against the side of the mug as you dip for full coverage.
4. Roll your pretzel rod in the sprinkles and lay it flat on the wax paper. Leave out to dry for a few hours or overnight!
Enjoy your Valentine’s Day with your loved ones!
